Gareth has been instrumental in maintaining the high levels of customer service and consistently great food for which Olive and Oil has become renowned. Together with Head Chef Armstrong Makhosa, he leads a dynamic team dedicated to the philosophy of comfortable food made exceptionally well. Starting out in the scullery section, Armstrong, with the support of his team, rose through the ranks to become a valuable asset. It is under his expert supervision that such culinary delights as Sweet Chilli Prawns and Rack of Lamb are such firm favourites with regulars and newcomers alike. Sweet Chilli Prawns is a dish comprised of irresistible prawns grilled in a delightful sweet chilli sauce, served on a bed of crisp stir-fried vegetables. For the less sea-faring folk out there, the Rack of Lamb is unquestionably a high ranker on the ‘must eat’ list. Marinated and oven roasted with thyme, rosemary and garlic, served with rosemary potatoes – this dish is well worth the 30min wait.
